You just got your iPhone and you are impressed with how long the battery lasts. You can go out all day knowing it won’t fail you. And then after a while, you have to choose between opening Snapchat for two seconds or keeping the little battery for emergency calls until you get home.
That was me in the painted picture above with my previous iPhone. But then in October 2018, I bought an iPhone 8 (yes I know it wasn’t the latest model). I decided to try something; whenever I’m doing any heavy task on my phone I would keep it plugged in. When your phone is plugged in while working you’re basically using the power from the outlet instead of your battery. Some of us may know this from experimenting with our laptops. Yeah, it can be annoying to have your phone plugged in but you can buy a long charger or work closer to a socket. Also, if you aren’t hooked up on changing your phone every September then this hack is worth a try.
I use my phone hard. How hard?
- I create 4K videos using my phone.
- I edit those videos on my phone.
- I watch YouTube for hours.
- Zoom meetings.
- Create content to publish.
- Lately, I’ve using it to rinse the Donda Album daily.
All of that and I can still leave home, and use my phone without worrying if it’s going to die on me. Try this with your next iPhone and let me know how it goes.
